Wow! God’s Signature in Our Heart/Heartbeat! Part Two!

This is an eye-opening series concerning God’s signature on our lives and in our hearts. If you haven’t read Part One, you can click here to read it.

One thing we noticed in Part One is the fact that our heartbeat sings out the name of Almighty God with every beat.

Now, here’s another thought process to meditate on, which correlates with the first. Even inside the chest of every non-believer, their heart still shouts out His signature name, over and over again, sha-dah, sha-dah, sha-dah.

No wonder the Bible says in Rom 1:18-25 (CSB): For God’s wrath is revealed from heaven against all godlessness and unrighteousness of people who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth,

Rom 1:19 since what can be known about God is evident among them, because God has shown it to them.

Rom 1:20 For his invisible attributes, that is, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen since the creation of the world, being understood through what he has made. As a result, people are without excuse.

Rom 1:21 For though they knew God, they did not glorify him as God or show gratitude. Instead, their thinking became worthless, and their senseless hearts were darkened. (Oh my! When we don’t acknowledge God for who He is, then our “Heart” becomes darkened.)

Fools say there is no God!

Rom 1:22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools (See, Psa 14:1a & 53:1a)

Rom 1:23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man, birds, four-footed animals, and reptiles.

Rom 1:24 Therefore God delivered them over in the desires of their hearts to sexual impurity, so that their bodies were degraded among themselves.

Rom 1:25 They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served what has been created instead of the Creator, who is praised forever. Amen.

Verse 22 above refers back to the Old Testament scriptures, which state in Psa 14:1a & 53:1a (CSB). The fool says in his heart, “There’s no God.” …

Oh, my goodness, my friends, not only does God say, “the fool says there’s no God!” But look where He says it comes from… “In his heart”! The very place that continuously shouts out God’s name. From the heart’s cry, the fool ignores all and says I don’t believe or trust my heart. He (the Creator and Savior God) doesn’t exist. However, my friends, it’s like seeing the brightest LED billboard lit with one word: God! Then saying it has nothing written on it.

We can now see why God so sternly says, “You actually have to be a fool to say I don’t exist.” Not only does our heart shout out His name with every beat. But all of creation bears the attributes of a Creator who is in charge of what has been created. Plus, God says, I put the sound of my name inside of you, so you would look for and find Me.”

Different Religions in the World…

This is why there are so many different religions in the world today. People are drawn from the inside to look for God. So, on the flip side of this eagerness to find God, the devil is all too happy to oblige each and every person with what they think is right in their eyes.

But this doesn’t catch God by surprise. He knew this would happen and spoke of it in His Word, the Bible. Pro 3:5-8 (CSB) Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; (Wow! Look where our trust in the Lord comes from? Our Heart! Then He states, don’t just trust your brain, your own understanding!)

Continuing on…Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; Pro 3:6 in all your ways know him, and he will make your paths straight.

Pro 3:7 Don’t be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and turn away from evil.

Pro 3:8 This will be healing for your body and strengthening for your bones. When we look for God properly, we will find Him. Now, look at what He prophesied through the prophet Jeremiah to the Children of Israel.

Jer 29:13 (CSB) You will seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart.

My friends, when we seek out the Creator and call on Him with all our hearts, we will find Him.

How to Be Saved!

Then, after we accept Him and the sacrifice His Son, Jesus Christ, made for us on the cross. We will be saved! No ifs, ands, or buts! Here is the plan of salvation in its simplest form. Rom 10:9-10 (CSB) If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Rom 10:10 One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation.

My friends, did you see how great and gracious our God is? When we believe what every beat of our heart sings out. Then, when we confess with our mouth what our heart continuously states. We are loved and, with open arms, declared righteous in His sight!

Oh hallelujah! “The God who is More Than Enough” not only becomes more than enough in our present life. But He is also the same for us in the future.

As we have seen in today’s post. Not only will “The God of Your Tomorrow Meet You Today!” But He will be with you every day of your life, all the way into eternity. He is indeed the Friend who sticks closer than a brother Proverbs 18:24b.

Oh, this is getting good! In the next post, we will look at our heart cut in half. There will be no denying that what we have been saying is also backed by the very shape and design of our heart. See you in the next post! 🙂 Click here to go to Part Three.

Larry Atkerson Ministries
Larry Atkerson Sr. was born-again at a young age. He grew up in rural southeastern Oklahoma, then in high school, his family moved to Tulsa, Ok. During this time he met the young lady who would become his wife, Lisa. They got married when they were still in their teen years. Obviously, getting married at this age created some very interesting times as they both grew up and matured together. However, they have stayed true to their vows, to each other, and have basically grown up with their 3 wonderful children. Larry Atkerson Sr. and Lisa Atkerson both have received training in ministry at "Rhema Bible Training Center" and "School of the Local Church"/"Grace School of Ministry" in Broken Arrow, and Tulsa, Ok. respectively. While attending "School of the Local Church", he received his first taste of the original languages of the Bible, in a course called "Beginning Biblical Greek". Since that time he has also received training in "Biblical Hebrew", with a university based in Israel. "eTeacher". Larry Atkerson Sr. has worked/volunteered in just about every position a church or ministry can have. In doing so, he has filled many different roles ranging from door-greeter to Sunday-School teacher, and children’s church worker to counselor. He has also served in the pastoral positions of children’s, youth, and adult ministries. He has worked and been involved in hospital/visitation ministries where he has seen the power of God change people’s lives. He delights in going on short-term mission trips! All the while, seeing the love of God with applied wisdom - transform people and their lives forever. Larry Atkerson Sr. teaches a weekly bible study class starting just after spring break each year and continuing until right before Thanksgiving. In the class, he delves into the wonderful-exciting-mysteries and simplicity of the Word of God.
