Jesus Gives and Gives, but doesn’t take away! (Warning! This might change the way you view God.) But no worries! You will rejoice over it!

There are popular songs, lessons, poems, and sermons which talk about God giving and taking away. Now if you believe this way, it’s OK…at the moment. 🙂

But I challenge you to pray and keep an open mind while reading this short lesson. Ask God to lead you to the truth, even if it is different then what you have always believed. Now, I know that’s hard. But, continuing to believe this way will keep you from walking in faith, like God desires for you to walk in.

Why? Simply, if you don’t know if God wants to give you something good. Or if situations change for the worse, if it is Him who is now taking it away from you. Then it’s hard to pray…believing that you receive.

Job was even slightly confused when things started going really wrong in his life. But he didn’t blame God and this is what he did and said…Job 1:20-21 (GW)  Job stood up, tore his robe in grief, and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground and worshiped. 21  He said, “Naked I came from my mother, and naked I will return. The LORD has given, and the LORD has taken away! May the name of the LORD be praised.”

Oh wow! What dedication to the Lord that Job just showed here in this verse. But if he had only realized there was a devil, an adversary who wanted to destroy everything he held dear in his life. One who even told God, I can make him turn against You, if you just take Your hand of protection away from him.

Then he might have said, “Blessed be the name of The Lord who gives. I curse the thief who is stealing from me now.”

Ay any rate, Thank You Jesus for setting this straight in John’s gospel. In John 10:10 MKJV (with Jesus speaking) it says, The thief (the devil our adversary) does not come except to steal and to kill and to destroy. I have come so that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

My friends, The Lord gives and gives and gives abundantly. He is not the one who takes from you, but He will always be there when things start to go wrong. So that you can reach out to Him and be safe.

Happy Mothers Day!

To all the beautiful, hard-working moms…we say thank you!

The Bible describes a mom or a wife who takes care of her family in *Proverbs 31. She is called a virtuous woman. 10 An excellent woman [one who is spiritual, capable, intelligent, and virtuous], who is he who can find her?
Her value is more precious than jewels and her worth is far above rubies or pearls.

There are so many things that moms do, which go unnoticed and/or are simply expected of her. Yet, she still does them! Sometimes tired, sometimes exhausted, sometimes just waiting for someone else to take over for just a few minutes, so she can catch her breathe (so to speak). But she is always there to help out, no matter what. 11 The heart of her husband trusts in her [with secure confidence], And he will have no lack of gain. 12 She comforts, encourages, and does him only good and not evil All the days of her life.

14 She is like the merchant ships [abounding with treasure]; She brings her [household’s] food from far away. 15 She rises also while it is still night
And gives food to her household…

A lot of times her advice is not asked for, but she cares not. For when it comes to the safety of her family, she shares her wisdom freely.  🙂 26 She opens her mouth in [skillful and godly] wisdom, And the teaching of kindness is on her tongue [giving counsel and instruction].

She is a mastermind at detecting wrongs. She is like a skilled hunter when attempting to sniff things out that would hurt her loved ones. She will stand tall and bold in the face of challenges, while gently holding her loved ones close. 25 Strength and dignity are her clothing and her position is strong and secure; And she smiles at the future [knowing that she and her family are prepared].

Sometimes her children may not understand her position on things, but later they will. Her husband is even caught off-guard sometimes with her wisdom, but he loves her for it. 28 Her children rise up and call her blessed (happy, prosperous, to be admired);
Her husband also, and he praises her, saying29 “Many daughters have done nobly, and well [with the strength of character that is steadfast in goodness],
But you excel them all.”

Moms/wives, this weekend we all just want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Have a blessed and happy”Mothers day!”

Is Jesus the Answer?

Well, lets examine the short fast evidence.
First…all things (including us) were made by Him. Nothing was made unless He made it. Col. 1:15-19.

His birth, life, and ministry was prophesied 1,000’s of years before it happened with exacting details. Gen 3:15, Isa 9:6, Heb 10:4-10, Psa 22:1, 6-10, Isa 53:1-12

The prophets even foretold what type of death and how He would die. Psa 22:14-18, Isa 53:3-5, 7-9

In this heinous death that He suffered for us, He even fulfilled the scripture context of the paschal lamb. He would have No broken bones, John 19:32-37, Exodus 12:46, Num 9:12, 1 Cor 5:7.

He was Not crucified because of any wrongdoing on His part. Instead, it was our sins, sicknesses, and diseases that He took on Himself on the cross. So that to those who accept Him as the Son of God…we could take on ourselves His righteousness, health and healing, and have eternal life. Luke 23:3-4, John 1:29, 2 Cor 5:21, Gal 3:11-14, 1 Peter 2:22, 24, 1 John 3:5

My friends, God the Father gave His Son to us for every thing we need in this life and in the next. There is NO problem too small or too large that He can’t handle it.

So is Jesus the answer for us today?

You know it’s true if you believe the Word of God.

You are Beautiful!

Notice the intricate detail of these flowers, yet they couldn’t make their ownselves beautiful. God did!

The Bible says this in, Luke 12:27 Amplified Bible (AMP)

27 Consider the lilies and wildflowers, how they grow [in the open field]. They neither labor nor spin [wool to make clothing]; yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his glory and splendor dressed himself like one of these.

My friends, this is what He wants to do with your life today. He wants to make you beautiful, clean, holy, forgiven, prosperous, healthy, whole in every way…inside and out. He wants to restore your relationships, set you free from bondages, and give you your dream job, position, and/or career.

What an awesome and mighty God we serve!

Jesus is Risen!

Let this sink into our hearts and minds, this Easter.

Jesus Christ, the Son of God arose from the dead on the 3rd day, just like He said He would!

The Resurrection

Luk 24:1-8 (KJV)  Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.

Luk 24:2  And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.

Luk 24:3  And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.

Luk 24:4  And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:

Luk 24:5  And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?

Luk 24:6  He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,

Luk 24:7  Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.

Luk 24:8  And they remembered his words,

Oh hallelujah! Let us remember His Words!

My friends, we have peace with God, because of the price that Jesus paid for our sins.

Happy Easter to you!

The God who is More than Enough!

The first instance of the name El Shaddai being used in the Bible is when God was speaking to Abram.
Genesis 17:1-5 (ISV) Gen 17:1 When Abram was 99 years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and announced, “I am God Almighty (El Shaddai). Live in constant awareness that I’m always with you, and be blameless.
Gen 17:2 I’ll establish my covenant between me and you, and I’ll greatly increase your numbers.”
Gen 17:3 Then Abram fell to the ground as God continued speaking to him.
Gen 17:4 “Look, I’ve made a covenant with you. You will be the father of many nations.
Gen 17:5 Your name is no longer to be Abram. Instead your name will be Abraham, since I’ll make you the father of many nations.

El Shaddai means Almighty God or the God who is more than enough!
He doesn’t have to wait on someone else for Him to do His job. He is not walking around saying, “If I just had some more power, health, wealth, stability, then I could answer their prayer.
No!

He says, I Am El Shaddai! I am the God of more than enough!
My friends, whatever your need is today. Present it to the Lord and know this. He is the God who can meet “ALL” of your needs!
