The Shepherd finds the One and rejoices!

Jesus speaking tells this parable…

Luke 15:4-7 (MKJV) What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness and go after that which is lost until he finds it?
Luk 15:5 And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
Luk 15:6 And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost.
Luk 15:7 I say to you that likewise joy shall be in Heaven over one sinner who repents, more than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.

Oh my goodness! The love of our Good Shepherd is out of this world!

Did you notice the 2 roles listed here and what each one did?

1st, we have a sheep that was lost. Before the sheep, (in this case…you or I) got lost,  they (we) were one of the sheep in the Shepherd’s fold/herd.

Then one day after we learned the difference between “Right and Wrong” we choose wrong and thus sin separated us from the Shepherd and the rest of the sheep.

2nd, We now have the Shepherd leave the ones who were safe/saved in Him and He goes to find the “One” who was lost.

Now watch! Because, here’s where His love for us is overwhelming!

What was the role of the sheep?                                                                                                                    He or she was lost without the Shepherd, (which puts their life at risk)! Because knowingly or unknowingly they were wondering around without the protection of the Shepherd.

Now, what’s the role of the Shepherd?                                                                                                              The Shepherd searches…

The Shepherd finds…

The Shepherd carries…

The Shepherd rejoices…

The Shepherd calls out to His friends (those in the fold) and says, “Rejoice with Me!” For the one who was lost, is now found! Then, He lets us know…this is the type of party which happens in heaven when “One sinner who was lost, is now found!”

How did the sinner become a “found one”?

He or she simply allowed the Good Shepherd to find them. Then once they were found, He lavished them with His love!

My friends, This exciting territory!  If you are a lamb or sheep today, who is wondering around without the present and eternal protection of the Good Shepherd, then are you ready to be found? The Bible says that “Today is the day of salvation!”

Here’s a simple prayer to pray and believe, so you can be lavishly loved by the Shepherd.

Father God, I believe You sent Your Son, Jesus Christ to this earth, to show me Your love. I believe He was born of a virgin, lived a sin-free life as The Son of Man, took my place on a cross by dying for my sins. And then He arose from the dead on the 3rd day, just as the scriptures said! Thus He purchased my salvation and I accept Him as my Lord and Saviour, as my Shepherd, as my very best friend. Thank You, Jesus, for looking for me! Thank You for finding me; for carrying me; for rejoicing over me; for loving me! Thank You that there is joy in my heart today! You have found me and I rest on Your shoulders.  I love You Lord Jesus and I thank You for first loving me! In Jesus Name I pray, Amen and Amen!

Welcome to the family of God, my friend! Be blessed in everything you do! Find yourself a good Bible based church to get plugged into. Stay tuned into our ministry and others like ours, who minister the “Truth” from the Word.

If you would like to share with us that you have received Jesus as Lord and Saviour today. You can do so as a post on this page or in a message. We would love to hear from you! Shalom in Jesus name!
