The Reason for the Season!

Many of us get so excited and caught up in the Christmas spirit at Christmas time! In todays world that is totally understandable! Especially, with all the things that must be checked off the list before the day arrives.

It is also, my wife’s favorite time of the year and she loves to shower her family with her love and kindness. Her excitement rubs off on the people closest to her and even I get caught up in it, (well, to a point) 🙂 Lol!  This year I even beat her in getting up the Christmas lights outside, before she could decorate inside.

*Disclaimer* is available from her, if you ask her! 🙂

Anyway, we don’t want to forget the real reason why we have Christmas in the first place. You see…without Christ there is no Christmas!

He was the gift of all gifts given from the Father to mankind. His birth, life, death, burial, and resurrection from the dead, are all part of His grand love story to us.

We could never on our own – even fractionally repay His love, He has shown to us. Except by accepting His gift of love, His Son, Jesus Christ as our Savior.

My friends, you can see the heart of the Father in the context of this scripture.

John 3:16-17 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Are you looking for salvation? Then look no further then the Son of God! He is the reason for the season!
