1 Peter 1:13 (CSBBible) 13 Therefore, with your minds ready for action (Girded up), be sober-minded (Thinking clearly and in line with the Word of God) and set your hope (that is having a constant expectation of good) completely on the grace (unearned and undeserved favor) to be brought to you at the (continuous and bountiful) revelation of Jesus Christ.
Oh hallelujah, my friends! When we have our minds girded up or locked in on the Word of God. Then when troubles come our way, we are not moved in our faith, by any sad or bad news. (This doesn’t mean our world is not momentarily shaken. Nor does it mean we have no earthly feelings in the matter.) Instead, when we have our minds on the blessings God has in store for us, even when we are in the midst of the battle. We will be secure in Him.
In moments like these, speaking and confessing the unshakable Word of God over our situation. Allows us to focus in on the unearned and undeserved favor of God residing in and over our life. It is in this we find hope! 🙂
Hope being defined as, “A constant expectation of good.”
Oh, praise the Lord God Almighty – family of the Most High! For He is good and His mercy endures forevermore!
Thank You Lord, Jesus, that my mind is renewed and girded up in Your Holy Word.
