My Protection and My Shield!

Psa 91:1-16 (ISV)  A Davidic Psalm. The one who lives in the shelter of the Most High, who rests in the shadow of the Almighty,

Psa 91:2  will say to the LORD, “You are my refuge, my fortress, and my God in whom I trust!”

Psa 91:3  He will surely deliver you from the hunter’s snare and from the destructive plague.

Psa 91:4  With his feathers he will cover you, under his wings you will find safety. His truth is your shield and armor.

Psa 91:5  You need not fear terror that stalks in the night, the arrow that flies in the day,

Psa 91:6  plague that strikes in the darkness, or calamity that destroys at noon.

Psa 91:7  If a thousand fall at your side or ten thousand at your right hand, it will not overcome you.

Psa 91:8  Only observe it with your eyes, and you will see how the wicked are paid back.

Psa 91:9  “LORD, you are my refuge!” Because you chose the Most High as your dwelling place,

Psa 91:10  no evil will fall upon you, and no affliction will approach your tent,

Psa 91:11  for he will command his angels to protect you in all your ways.

Psa 91:12  With their hands they will lift you up so you will not trip over a stone.

Psa 91:13  You will stomp on lions and snakes; you will trample young lions and serpents.

Psa 91:14 (The Lord Jesus speaking) Because he (him or her) has focused his (their) love on me, I will deliver him (them). I will protect him because he knows my name.

Psa 91:15  When he calls out to me, I will answer him. I will be with him in his distress. I will deliver him, and I will honor him.

Psa 91:16  I will satisfy him with long life; I will show him my deliverance.

My friends, Jesus is our protection and shield! When we are facing uncertain times in our life and the storms seem to just keep coming, He is there.

He will never leave us alone.

Speak, Pray, and Confess this psalm of protection over yourself, your family, and your friends. God loves to honor His Word.

Larry Atkerson Ministries
Larry Atkerson Sr. was born-again at a young age. He grew up in rural southeastern Oklahoma, then in high school, his family moved to Tulsa, Ok. During this time he met the young lady who would become his wife, Lisa. They got married when they were still in their teen years. Obviously, getting married at this age created some very interesting times as they both grew up and matured together. However, they have stayed true to their vows, to each other, and have basically grown up with their 3 wonderful children. Larry Atkerson Sr. and Lisa Atkerson both have received training in ministry at "Rhema Bible Training Center" and "School of the Local Church"/"Grace School of Ministry" in Broken Arrow, and Tulsa, Ok. respectively. While attending "School of the Local Church", he received his first taste of the original languages of the Bible, in a course called "Beginning Biblical Greek". Since that time he has also received training in "Biblical Hebrew", with a university based in Israel. "eTeacher". Larry Atkerson Sr. has worked/volunteered in just about every position a church or ministry can have. In doing so, he has filled many different roles ranging from door-greeter to Sunday-School teacher, and children’s church worker to counselor. He has also served in the pastoral positions of children’s, youth, and adult ministries. He has worked and been involved in hospital/visitation ministries where he has seen the power of God change people’s lives. He delights in going on short-term mission trips! All the while, seeing the love of God with applied wisdom - transform people and their lives forever. Larry Atkerson Sr. teaches a weekly bible study class starting just after spring break each year and continuing until right before Thanksgiving. In the class, he delves into the wonderful-exciting-mysteries and simplicity of the Word of God.
