Pray for Peace in Jerusalem!

Pray for Peace! The #Bible says to pray for the #Peace of #Israel and #Jerusalem. It gives stern warnings against those who attack her. But at the same time, it defines declarations of the Lord concerning her, as well.

A prayer in a psalm written by King David says this, Psa 122:6-9 (KJV) Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. [Note: in this prayer those who pray for the “Peace of Jerusalem” have a faith proclamation spoken over them. If you love and pray for the “Peace of Jerusalem” then you shall prosper. If this is true and it is, then the reverse is true as well. Those who seek to destroy Israel and Jerusalem, will have prosperity cut off from them.]

Psa 122:7  Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces. [Prayer continues for “Peace” to be within the walls of the city and prosperity with its palaces or places of habitation.]

Psa 122:8  For my brethren and companions’ sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee. [Words have life and death attached to them; like buckets of water can sustain life when full and shared properly with others. Or they can produce a dying thirst when totally empty on a hot sweltering day.]

Psa 122:9  Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good. [Because the place of Almighty God on Mount Zion is there (where He provided Himself, the Ram for sacrifice, instead of Issac. David, praying and prophesying says, I will seek thy good.]

The prophet Ezekiel stated this by the power of God, Eze 13:16 (CSB)  those prophets of Israel who prophesied to Jerusalem and saw a vision of peace for her when there was no peace.” This is the declaration of the Lord GOD.’ [Those who prophesied and spoke peace over JERUSALEM even when peace seemed far away, are the same ones who are declaring the heart of God Almighty.]

My friends, it is sad and disheartening to see the things happening in Israel at the moment. But know the God over the host of armies in heaven is on her side! We are to lift her up, support her in prayer and deed, and speak peace over her even when it looks like peace is far away.

One last psalm that I want to leave you with here…Is a psalm of accent or one that was sung and spoken over them when they were going to the temple to praise and worship God.

Blessed Is Everyone Who Fears the Lord
Psa 128:1  A song of ascents. How happy is everyone who fears the LORD, who walks in his ways!
Psa 128:2  You will surely eat what your hands have worked for. You will be happy, and it will go well for you.
Psa 128:3  Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house, your children, like young olive trees around your table.
Psa 128:4  In this very way the man who fears the LORD will be blessed.
Psa 128:5  May the LORD bless you from Zion, so that you will see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life
Psa 128:6  and will see your children’s children! Peace be with Israel.

This is our prayer today! Peace be with Israel! May the LORD God be with her and guide her every step in overcoming everything and everyone who comes against her, in Jesus name we pray, Amen and Amen!
