Pray for Peace! The #Bible says to pray for the #Peace of #Israel and #Jerusalem. It gives stern warnings against those who attack her. But at the same time, it defines the declarations of the Lord concerning her.
A prayer written by King David, in one of the psalms says this, Psalm 122:6-9 (KJV) Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. [Note: in this prayer – those who pray for the “Peace of Jerusalem” also have a faith proclamation spoken over them. If you love and pray for the “Peace of Jerusalem” then you shall prosper. If this is true and it is, then obviously the reverse is true, as well. Those who seek to destroy Israel and Jerusalem, will have prosperity cut off from them.]
Psa 122:7 Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces. [This prayer continues for “Peace” to be within the walls of the city and prosperity within its palaces or places of habitation.]
Psa 122:8 For my brethren and companions’ sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee. [Words have life and death attached to them! Just like buckets of water can sustain life. Words spoken at the right time can lift up a person, a family, and/or a nation with the power and love of the Lord.]
Psa 122:9 Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good. [Because on Mount Zion, the temple place where God Almighty, provided Himself – a Ram for sacrifice, instead of Issac, Abraham’s son. David, says, I will seek thy good.] Wow! Can you feel the longing in King David’s heart towards the House of God, located in Jerusalem?
My friends, it is sad and disheartening to see the things happening against Israel at the moment. But let there be no doubt, the God over the host of armies in heaven, is on her side! We are to lift her up, support her in prayer and deed, and speak peace over her, even when it looks like peace is far away.
Let’s now look at another psalm and this is where I want to leave your hearts desire towards Israel today. It is a psalm of accent or one that was sung and spoken over her, when they were going to the temple to praise and worship God.
Blessed Is Everyone Who Fears the Lord
Psa 128:1 A song of ascents. How happy is everyone who fears the LORD, who walks in his ways!
Psa 128:2 You will surely eat what your hands have worked for. You will be happy, and it will go well for you.
Psa 128:3 Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house, your children, like young olive trees around your table.
Psa 128:4 In this very way the man who fears the LORD will be blessed.
Psa 128:5 May the LORD bless you from Zion, so that you will see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life
Psa 128:6 and will see your children’s children! Peace be with Israel.
This is our prayer today! That we will be happy in blessing Israel. That we will have plenty and what we have worked for, will not be taken away. That our family, wife, and children will be blessed in everything we do. That we will see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of our lives, as we enjoy the inheritance of our children’s, children.
Peace be with Israel! May the LORD God be with her and guide her in every step towards overcoming everything and everyone who comes against her, in the mighty name of Jesus we pray, Amen and Amen!
