What can Separate Us from…God?

My friends, there many things, which have and even continuously try, to separate us from the “Love of God.” They may even seem like they have temporarily won in the short run. Because our attention gets scattered wide and far on seemingly important things. But in the end, those things will pale in comparison to the “Love of God.”

Look at what the Apostle Paul stated by the anointing power of the Holy Spirit, in Romans 8.

Rom 8:35, 37-39 (CSB) Who can separate us from the love of Christ? Can affliction or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?

Rom 8:37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him (Christ Jesus) who loved us.

Rom 8:38  For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers,

Rom 8:39  nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Wow! Did you see the “Love of God” is mentioned all three times in those four verses? This is very significant, my friends!

God wants us to know that even if we are not being faithful to Him and/or His love for us. That He is forever-faithful to us with His love! Therefore, NOTHING can separate us from His love!

My friends, when we say, “Yes” to Him as Lord and Savior. He creates in us a new born-again spirit. One which never existed before in us and is now eternally alive unto Him. 2Co 5:17 (CSB) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he (or she) is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!

Our new spirit on the inside, is not one that is frail and fragile! The moment we said “Yes” to Jesus as our Lord. Is the moment our spirit man on the inside went from eternal death and damnation; to eternal life with Him.

So, rest and be confident in knowing that your future is secure in Him. If you mess up, His love is not retracted from you! You’re still on your way to heaven!

My friends, before there was even one person who believed on Jesus as the Son of God. He still died for us! It was because of His love for us; His obedience to His Father (God); and the Father’s will that provided salvation to all of mankind.

The Bible says it like this in Romans 5:8-11 (CSB)…

Rom 5:8  But God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Rom 5:9  How much more then, since we have now been justified by his blood, will we be saved through him from wrath.

Rom 5:10 For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, then how much more, having been reconciled, will we be saved by his life.

Rom 5:11  And not only that, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received this reconciliation.

Oh, Praise the Lord! 🙂
