Changing a Bad Day into a Good One; Attitude!

“Anyone can have a bad day. But it takes someone special to take a bad day and turn it into a good day.”

This is a quote from my dad, when I was a child growing up.
He really never got to see how much this phrase has helped me out in my life.

My friends, #SpeakLife into your #Children for you may never know (here on earth) how much your words, actually meant to them and helped to point them and their future in the right direction. ❤️😎

The Bible even says this about our children and pointing them in the right direction…

Psa 127:3-5a, (AMP) Behold, children are a heritage and gift from the LORD, The fruit of the womb a reward. [Deu 28:4]
Psa 127:4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth.
Psa 127:5 How blessed [happy and fortunate] is the man whose quiver is filled with them;

The Hebrew word for “Children” in verse 4 is the word, (Ben) בן H1121.
Ben, is defined as…sons, grandsons, offspring, and in the general sense it also includes all children male and female / boys and girls.

In “Ancient Hebrew” the letters of the alphabet were actually pictures. Then from there, they used and formed these pictures into the Hebrew alphabet. As a result, we refer to these early pictures as “pictographs”.

*The pictograph for “b” ( ב )/ “Bet” is a picture of a tent; a dwelling place for the family. The “n” ( ו ) / “Nun” is a picture of a sprouting seed and represents continuity as the seed continues the next generation. The combined meaning of these letters mean “the continuing of the house”. The tent was constructed of woven goat hair. Over time the sun bleaches and weakens the goat hair necessitating their continual replacement. Each year the women would make a new panel, approximately 3 feet wide and the length of the tent. The old panel is removed (being recycled into a wall or floor) and the new strip is added to the tent. Since the tent is only replaced one small piece at a time the tent essentially lasts forever.
Quoted from *Ancient Hebrew Study

So, in verse 4 it says “Children” are like arrows in the hand of a warrior or a mighty man, as some translations put it.

A warrior is someone who is skilled in pointing their arrows in the right direction.

However, my friends, no worries if you feel skilled or not in pointing your children in the right direction. Just continue to seek after and follow the Lord’s direction and He will give you wisdom.

Even if your children are now grown adults and you feel like maybe you should have done a better job. No worries! 😌

Pray and look for the right opportunities to use God’s wisdom in order to #SpeakLife into them and He will help you.

Larry Atkerson Ministries
Larry Atkerson Sr. was born-again at a young age. He grew up in rural southeastern Oklahoma, then in high school, his family moved to Tulsa, Ok. During this time he met the young lady who would become his wife, Lisa. They got married when they were still in their teen years. Obviously, getting married at this age created some very interesting times as they both grew up and matured together. However, they have stayed true to their vows, to each other, and have basically grown up with their 3 wonderful children. Larry Atkerson Sr. and Lisa Atkerson both have received training in ministry at "Rhema Bible Training Center" and "School of the Local Church"/"Grace School of Ministry" in Broken Arrow, and Tulsa, Ok. respectively. While attending "School of the Local Church", he received his first taste of the original languages of the Bible, in a course called "Beginning Biblical Greek". Since that time he has also received training in "Biblical Hebrew", with a university based in Israel. "eTeacher". Larry Atkerson Sr. has worked/volunteered in just about every position a church or ministry can have. In doing so, he has filled many different roles ranging from door-greeter to Sunday-School teacher, and children’s church worker to counselor. He has also served in the pastoral positions of children’s, youth, and adult ministries. He has worked and been involved in hospital/visitation ministries where he has seen the power of God change people’s lives. He delights in going on short-term mission trips! All the while, seeing the love of God with applied wisdom - transform people and their lives forever. Larry Atkerson Sr. teaches a weekly bible study class starting just after spring break each year and continuing until right before Thanksgiving. In the class, he delves into the wonderful-exciting-mysteries and simplicity of the Word of God.
