In the beginning one of the first things God said – to be, was light! Gen 1:3 (MKJV) And God said, Let there be light. And there was light. As a result, the universes are still expanding today.
After the #creation and order was set into place. Now, His gives His Word to be a light to our feet, that is to our path. This way, we don’t fall into the snares of the evil one. But even more than that, it is so we can see the truth in His Word and follow Him to safety, security, and blessings in every area of our life. Psa 119:105 (MKJV) Your Word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path.
During #Jesus ministry on the earth, He said this in Matthew 5:14-16 (MKJV) You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
Mat 5:15 Nor do men light a lamp and put it under the grain-measure, but on a lampstand. And it gives light to all who are in the house.
Mat 5:16 Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in Heaven.
Notice: We don’t shine the Light in peoples eyes, to blind them! Instead, we simply just do what “Light does,” we shine! In doing so, they see our “Good works” a.k.a. Our shine! It gives glory to the Father and as they see the light of the gospel, alive in us. It draws them toward the light and with a curious-open, but sometimes skeptical heart, they come inside the house and light is given to them, as well.
My friends, God has given us “His Glorious Light,” the gospel of His Son and it is “Light/Life” to them that find it!
You are truly, the light of the world, Jesus. And with Your light we have become like a city that is set on a hill that cannot be hidden. Oh Hallelujah!

Larry Atkerson Sr. was born-again at a young age. He grew up in rural southeastern Oklahoma, then in high school, his family moved to Tulsa, Ok.
During this time he met the young lady who would become his wife, Lisa. They got married when they were still in their teen years. Obviously, getting married at this age created some very interesting times as they both grew up and matured together. However, they have stayed true to their vows, to each other, and have basically grown up with their 3 wonderful children.
Larry Atkerson Sr. and Lisa Atkerson both have received training in ministry at "Rhema Bible Training Center" and "School of the Local Church"/"Grace School of Ministry" in Broken Arrow, and Tulsa, Ok. respectively.
While attending "School of the Local Church", he received his first taste of the original languages of the Bible, in a course called "Beginning Biblical Greek". Since that time he has also received training in "Biblical Hebrew", with a university based in Israel. "eTeacher".
Larry Atkerson Sr. has worked/volunteered in just about every position a church or ministry can have. In doing so, he has filled many different roles ranging from door-greeter to Sunday-School teacher, and children’s church worker to counselor. He has also served in the pastoral positions of children’s, youth, and adult ministries. He has worked and been involved in hospital/visitation ministries where he has seen the power of God change people’s lives.
He delights in going on short-term mission trips! All the while, seeing the love of God with applied wisdom - transform people and their lives forever.
Larry Atkerson Sr. teaches a weekly bible study class starting just after spring break each year and continuing until right before Thanksgiving. In the class, he delves into the wonderful-exciting-mysteries and simplicity of the Word of God.
