Everything in Season!

Ecc 3:1 (MKJV) To every thing there is a season, and a time for every purpose under the heavens:

Wow! A lot of times, we don’t like to hear this because we live in such an instant society!

Many times, on any given day, if we want something we can just go and get it and/or do it.

Our present-day way of living (in first and second-world countries anyway) is a “Microwave kind of life”, in many respects.

If we say we want a hamburger. We go to make it happen! We get the meat out of the freezer or refrigerator. Thaw it out, (if need be) get all the fixin’s (southern speech in the USA, which means everything that we want to have with it, including the condiments.)

We cook the meat according to our fancy, that is the way we want it done by grilling, frying, or even baking it.

Then we eat the hamburger with all the things we have that goes with it.

But if everything we just said is going to take too long and we don’t live to far away from a restaurant. Then we just go there instead. We order it, and “Wala” we now have our instant meal. 😊

This “Instant gratification and satisfaction” permeates every area of our lives!

If we want it, then we order it, pay for it, and get it, (with “it” being whatever “it” was we wanted.)

However, even in our “Instant society” there are still multiple things that we have to wait for. Like the bus, a taxi (even if we are using Uber or Lift), an airplane ride, a baby to be born, seed to grow, etc.

Now, if we think along these lines, some of the worst things we have to wait for (in a lot of people’s minds anyway). Includes, the time it takes to grow up 😊; the time it takes to stand in a line; the time spent at a restaurant when our order is taking longer than expected; the amount of time it takes for some ladies during the “Labor” portion of childbirth, and way, way too many other things to list here.

But when we look at this short list of examples, we can clearly understand, even with our “Instant society mentality” there are many things which are “Not” really so instant.

If we plant a seed, it doesn’t sprout up immediately and bear fruit, all in the same day. Or if we thought, it would! 😳 Well then, at best our gardening skills need to be sharpened up a bit, in the natural. 🙂

  • We have to understand, a seed needs certain things to grow. That is, in order to turn into a plant, which then later bears fruit.
  • It needs the right soil, environment, water, fertilizer, time to grow, and proper care. Then, if all these conditions are met successfully, it will produce fruit.

Let’s take a look at some “Bible principles”, concerning “The Law of Sowing and Reaping” and “Everything in Season”.

In the beginning, God ordered everything to operate, grow, produce, and expand according to His design, which included its own “Season”.

When we look at some of these commands given by God, in the beginning. They show us His unique design and intent.

For example…God blessed ALL vegetation to produce after its own kind.

Gen 1:11-13 (AMP) So God said, “Let the earth sprout [tender] vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit according to (limited to, consistent with) their kind, whose seed is in them upon the earth”; and it was so.

Gen 1:12 The earth sprouted and abundantly produced vegetation, plants yielding seed according to their kind, and trees bearing fruit with seed in them, according to their kind; and God saw that it was good and He affirmed and sustained it.

Gen 1:13 And there was evening and there was morning, a third day.

One thing, which we need to pay attention to here. Is the fact that everything produces after its OWN KIND.

Once we grasp this principle and begin to apply it where it needs to be applied. Then we will surely be blessed in “Every Season of our Life!”  Oh hallelujah! 😊

My brothers and sisters in the Lord, Jesus Christ. What is it that you have need of?

Do you need more “Time” to do all the things you need to get done?

Then sow some of your time into someone else’s life or situation.

Do you need more “Finances”?

Then sow some of your finances into someone else’s life, into a good ministry, or a godly charitable organization.

Just pay attention to where you are sowing it. Good soil takes good seed and produces a great harvest. 😊

Poor or bad soil takes good seed, and it produces a sparse harvest, at best. But more than likely there will be no harvest at all.

Whatever your need is, sow what you need into someone else’s life or ministry and then water it. Meaning, take care of it, pray over it, bless it with a little sunshine from your life with God, and know that it will produce a harvest.

We will pick up here in Part 2, next week.

Please remember, the principles God has laid out in His Word are there for us to use in our life and to bless others with.

My friends, I’m praying for God’s best to be yours…everyday of your life, in Jesus’ name, Amen and Amen!
