Last week we said we would pickup with, “Getting our needs met, while we are waiting for our seed to produce a harvest.”

We saw from the Word of God that there is a “Season for Everything” and that “Everything in Season” produces like-kind fruit. Let’s take a look at what the Preacher said again in, Ecc 3:1 (MKJV) To every thing there is a season, and a time for every purpose under the heavens:

Now take a look at the contrast in the “Times and Seasons” as we continue with the following verses…

Ecc 3:2-8 (MKJV)  a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pull up what is planted;

Ecc 3:3  a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

Ecc 3:4  a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

Ecc 3:5  a time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

Ecc 3:6  a time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to throw away;

Ecc 3:7  a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

Ecc 3:8  a time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

As we can clearly see and gain wisdom from this list, there are “Times and Seasons for Everything!”

But my friends, I have got some good news for you! The “Preacher”, former king over Israel in Jerusalem, (Ecc. 1:12), [which is attributed to being King Solomon]. Wrote this book while he was in a place of using his God-given wisdom, as looking from the standpoint of a mere man. He was looking upon life and the trials a person goes through normally, “Under the sun”.

“Under the sun”, is a key phrase, which is used 29 times, in the 12 short chapters of this book.

If he wasn’t so focused on life and mankind’s existence apart from the Holy One. That is, without Almighty God’s help. Then, he might have remembered everything Jehovah had already done through him and for him in his life. For he surely would not have become the wisest man to have ever lived, (apart from Jesus Christ) without God granting him the wisdom that He did.

We could say the things listed in the above verses are the “Times and Seasons” normally attributed to everyday life. But this is normal life “Under the sun”! Without an acknowledgment of the ONE who LOVES us and created everything for us.

However, God wants us to not just have a normal life, but an abundant one!

In John’s gospel, Jesus also draws a comparison between what is God’s plan and action toward mankind in his life. As well as, exposing the lies by the devil himself, as to what is an actual “Act of God” event.

Jesus states this in John’s gospel. John 10:10 (MKJV) The thief (adversary, the devil) does not come except to steal and to kill and to destroy. I (Jesus Christ) have come so that they (you and I) might have life, and that they (you and I) might have it more abundantly.

My friends, of the things which happen to us. If any of them does one of these 3 things to us in our life, 1. Steal, 2. Kill, or 3. Destroy. Then we can easily identify them as three acts of Satan.

However, if it is something that does not distract us from our Savior. If it brings us life more abundantly, and NOT just NORMAL life “Under the Sun”. But instead, a MORE ABUNDANT LIFE with the Son’s blessings on us. Then we know and have assurance it is a blessing from the Lord.

Now here is where everything starts coming together for the believer to realize, God’s favor in our life . That is, concerning “Times and Seasons” and “Everything in Season” in our life.
