Who or What Can Separate Us from the Love of God?

How much does God actually “Love” me?

We have all heard and sang the song, “Yes, Jesus Loves Me!”

But how much does He actually love me?

Does He love me more, when I am good and trying not to sin?

Does He love me less, when I have missed it and fallen into doing something, which I should not have done?

My friends, there is a lot going on in these questions, which we will address. 🙂 Because from our own human way of thinking. If we do bad, then we get bad in return. But if we do good, then we get good in return. I mean, it’s biblical right?

Gal 6:7 (KJV) Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. (It is because of this verse that I have prayed for “Crop-failure” a few times in my life, if you know what I mean! 🙂 Like, oh God! Don’t let me reap back the mean thoughts that I just had towards that person right now!)

However, God looks at things differently then us. When we read this verse, we think of all the things, which we had the opportunity of doing today. Some things we acted on and others we did not. Some things were good, while other things were not so good.

God calls all these things done in the natural, for natural gain or lost. As things that are done, “To the flesh”. Also, even though they reap a harvest. That harvest is fading or decaying daily. It is called a harvest of “Reaping corruption”.

On the other hand, if we sow to the “Spirit” that is, towards the things of God. Then we shall reap a blessed and continuous reward of life, here and now and continuing into the next life, as well. Or as it is stated in the Bible, “Life everlasting!”

Let’s look at this next verse in the book of Galatians to see how it is stated. Gal 6:8 (KJV) For he (or she) that soweth to his (or her) flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he (or she) that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

So, what are or do the things sown in the “Spirit” look like?

Well, they are anything that has “Spiritual rewards.” If you told someone about Jesus Christ being God’s Son and that salvation is only available through Him. Act 4:12 (KJV) Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name (Besides the name of Jesus Christ, verse 10) under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Then my friends, when you have shared this with someone. Then you planted a “Spiritual seed”. Even if they didn’t say “Yes” to Jesus right there and then. You still planted the seed. So, when they do say “Yes” to Jesus as Lord, you will share in the harvest and receive “Spiritual reward.”

That is right along with the ones who were present when they actually said “Yes” to Jesus being their Lord.

With this being said, we can clearly see witnessing or spreading the “Good News/Gospel” has an eternal reward. But did you know, God makes it even easier than that?

Look at this verse. Mark 9:41 (KJV) For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he (or she) shall not lose his (or her) reward.

Wow! Even though there is a devil who is always looking for a way to mess us up, distract us, and get us to fail in seeing God’s love for us. Our God is a mighty God and He gets excited about blessing us, His children! He is always looking for a way to bless us.

His unearned, unmerited favor/grace surrounds us (His children) like a shield. Daily He looks to bless us and protect us from the storms in life. As we call out to Him, He is there ready and willing to help us in every situation.

No wonder the apostle Paul, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit said this…Rom 8:35 (KJV) Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

Rom 8:37-39 (KJV) Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

Rom 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Rom 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Oh Hallelujah! Somebody give Him praise!

Glory to Your name, Lord! You are worthy to be praised! 🙂
