The Shepherd finds the One and rejoices!

Jesus speaking tells this parable…

Luke 15:4-7 (MKJV) What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness and go after that which is lost until he finds it?
Luk 15:5 And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
Luk 15:6 And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost.
Luk 15:7 I say to you that likewise joy shall be in Heaven over one sinner who repents, more than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.

Oh my goodness! The love of our Good Shepherd is out of this world!

Did you notice the 2 roles listed here and what each one did?

1st, we have a sheep that was lost. Before the sheep, (in this case…you or I) got lost,  they (we) were one of the sheep in the Shepherd’s fold/herd.

Then one day after we learned the difference between “Right and Wrong” we choose wrong and thus sin separated us from the Shepherd and the rest of the sheep.

2nd, We now have the Shepherd leave the ones who were safe/saved in Him and He goes to find the “One” who was lost.

Now watch! Because, here’s where His love for us is overwhelming!

What was the role of the sheep?                                                                                                                    He or she was lost without the Shepherd, (which puts their life at risk)! Because knowingly or unknowingly they were wondering around without the protection of the Shepherd.

Now, what’s the role of the Shepherd?                                                                                                              The Shepherd searches…

The Shepherd finds…

The Shepherd carries…

The Shepherd rejoices…

The Shepherd calls out to His friends (those in the fold) and says, “Rejoice with Me!” For the one who was lost, is now found! Then, He lets us know…this is the type of party which happens in heaven when “One sinner who was lost, is now found!”

How did the sinner become a “found one”?

He or she simply allowed the Good Shepherd to find them. Then once they were found, He lavished them with His love!

My friends, This exciting territory!  If you are a lamb or sheep today, who is wondering around without the present and eternal protection of the Good Shepherd, then are you ready to be found? The Bible says that “Today is the day of salvation!”

Here’s a simple prayer to pray and believe, so you can be lavishly loved by the Shepherd.

Father God, I believe You sent Your Son, Jesus Christ to this earth, to show me Your love. I believe He was born of a virgin, lived a sin-free life as The Son of Man, took my place on a cross by dying for my sins. And then He arose from the dead on the 3rd day, just as the scriptures said! Thus He purchased my salvation and I accept Him as my Lord and Saviour, as my Shepherd, as my very best friend. Thank You, Jesus, for looking for me! Thank You for finding me; for carrying me; for rejoicing over me; for loving me! Thank You that there is joy in my heart today! You have found me and I rest on Your shoulders.  I love You Lord Jesus and I thank You for first loving me! In Jesus Name I pray, Amen and Amen!

Welcome to the family of God, my friend! Be blessed in everything you do! Find yourself a good Bible based church to get plugged into. Stay tuned into our ministry and others like ours, who minister the “Truth” from the Word.

If you would like to share with us that you have received Jesus as Lord and Saviour today. You can do so as a post on this page or in a message. We would love to hear from you! Shalom in Jesus name!

Who is the coin that was lost?

Who is the coin that was lost?

Do you remember the parable, Jesus told about the woman who lost one of her ten coins?

Luke 15:8-10 (KJV) Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?
Luk 15:9 And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.
Luk 15:10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

The “Woman” in this parable refers to the Holy Spirit. As babies and children our spirits are alive unto God. However, once we reach the age of being accountable for our actions and we chose wrong, our spirit is no longer alive to God. It suffers spiritual death or separation from God. So then, we find ourselves in a state where the Bible says, we need to be “Born-again”.

The “Coin” refers to us, who were lost, before we had accepted Jesus Christ, as Lord and Saviour.

“Silver” in the Bible refers to redemption.

So the beauty of this parable shows that from the time we are separated from God, until we say “Yes” to Him, The Holy Spirit (pictured as a woman here) searches and searches the places in our hearts and minds, until we are found. Then in His excitment, He throws a party which is worthy of angelic celebration, as we have been returned to the Fathers collection (so to speak) through the acceptance of His Son.

Oh praise the Lord, for He is worthy of our praise! His love and tender mercies are new every morning.

He is Still Working on Me!

Remember the song a lot of us sang in Sunday School?

He’s still working on me!
Well, even though this is correct, (since none of us has arrived, yet). It doesn’t mean that you have to walk around with your head down, (either literally or on the inside, where others can’t see).

Instead, He has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness. Including, living a victorious life in spite of our mistakes.

Obviously, this isn’t so we can have a license to sin and do wrong. But so we know…IF WE DO – DO WRONG, we have an advocate with the Father.

It is through His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.
When we call on Him, (even if we don’t think so) He is there and His is listening to the heart-cry of His children.
**Pray in line with His Word and your prayers will get results!**

Don’t let sin and shame destroy you and your happiness! Instead, lean on Him, because He is ready to carry you!

Be blessed in all you do!

The Word of God…is God-Breathed

2Ti 3:16 (KJV) All scripture is given by inspiration (breath) of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2Ti 3:17 That the man (or woman) of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Rejoice today! It is the Day the Lord has made!

This is the Day the Lord has made…REJOICE!

Psalm 118:24 (KJV) This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Did you notice the statement of faith by the psalmist in this verse?

He didn’t say…if everything was going great in your life right now – REJOICE.
He didn’t say…if you feel like it, then REJOICE.
He didn’t even say…after you get the answer to your prayer – REJOICE.

NO! Instead he says, just because you are alive today, REJOICE in this fact and be glad in it. For it is another day that the LORD has made and you are awake to see His majesty showing forward – all across the earth!

Oh Praise His Holy Name!

My God Supplies

Stand on this, my friends! Confess it! Believe it! And then rest in it! Because our God is big enough to meet your every need, no matter how big or small it is, in Jesus name, Amen!

Philippians 4:19 And my God will liberally supply fill until full your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

God still calms the storms

This is a pic that I took of a tornado-forming cloud. It stayed on the ground for over 30 miles.  It’s path left a swath of destruction.  Yet, the ominous of the clouds  and the power it contains, cannot overshadow God’s love and protection for us.

My friends, God can and will – still calm the storms in our lives. No matter how big and crazy they seem to be.  We simply take Him at His Word; confess it; stand on it; and rest in the fact of knowing that His written Word, spoken by the lips of a believer, never returns void.

God Creates Something out of Nothing

There are a few #Creation theories available today! One of them (the #Biblical event) acknowledges God as the creator of the universe, the heavens, and the earth. Genesis 1:1 (NKJV) 1  In the beginning #God created the heavens and the earth.

Almost all of the other theories say, there was nothing and then “Bang” out of nothing…something happened! Then after that – obviously there was no longer nothing, instead there was now something!

Say what! Really, that’s what you believe?

Where do you think that “Something” came from?

Well my friends, God answered this question in the 1st verse, of the 1st chapter, of the 1st book written in the Bible! This statements placement in the Word of God is no accident!

God seems to say, “Hello everyone! Just so this doesn’t get messed up and since everyone will want to know where they came from. Let Me set the record straight and introduce Myself to you.

I (God) created everything you see and everything you don’t see. I #Love you so much that it is vitally important for you to understand My existence, right away. As a result, before you see My love and grace towards you – you will already know that I’m here and ready to provide for you.

I am letting you know of My existence, and I am putting a place in you heart and soul that will long for Me.

Why? Because there will be a ‘deceiver’ who will come to you and try to tell you that I don’t exist and that somehow all these things, just happened. “There was nothing and now there’s something!”

But My little ones, don’t be deceived! For everything he says will be a lie! Sadly, he will deceive many!  But if you look for Me, you will find Me and that is My promise to you.”

Romans 10:9-13 (NKJV)
9  that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
10  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11  For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”
12  For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.
13  For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD (believing) shall be saved.”

My friends, Not only did God create something out of nothing in the beginning! But He is ready to create something out of your nothing! He is ready to meet your needs, no matter how big or small they may seem to be. He is the God of the impossible. Look to Him! Call on Him and He will be there to answer your hearts cry of faith towards Him and His Word.

Be blessed!
